Single Source
Gabriel Wheaton
Single Source is an instrumental album that was recorded only with violin. This means that the bass, percussion, and all of the textural sounds not immediately recognizable were originally a violin sound that was processed and manipulated after it was recorded.
The result is a wide variety of flavors, from untouched solo violin recorded traditionally to a fully produced folk-electronica tune. Many of the tunes in this album lie somewhere in between those extremes, based on tunes I perform live with my looper pedal setup.
